Who We Are

‘We Are Public Schools’ is a coalition of public school educators and parents, students and community members.

What We Believe

We believe public education has the ability to open doors to academic excellence, to address the economic, racial and social inequities in our society and to empower young people to think critically, be collaborative and change the world around them.

We believe that all students deserve access to a fully-funded, high-quality public education.

We believe that all publicly funded schools remain in the hands of the public.

We believe parents and the public should help shape and transform their neighborhood schools to be truly community schools, locally grown and built by the neighborhood they serve.
